UNYA-GH🇬🇭 Officially Launches New Youth Government Initiative (YGI) Logo

Youth Government Initiative (also YGI) is a flagship UNYA-GH initiative which models the three Arms of Government under the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana through hands-on simulation sessions, mentorship and trainings.

The National Executive Committee of the United Nations Youth Association-Ghana led by H.E WH Kobina Adomadzi Longdon, the National Youth President on Wednesday 29th March, 2023 virtually launched a new Youth Government Initiative logo to commence expected enhanced implementation efforts.

Main IMAGES and ADINKRA Symbols

Olive Branches: symbolise Peace.
Blue colour: represents both the sky and the sea and is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, inspiration, and sensitivity.

Adinkra symbols in Blue colours: Blue also represents meanings of depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability, faith, and intelligence.

Legislative Arm (YOUTH PARLIAMENTARIANS) represented by Funtufunefu “siamese crocodile” symbol of democracy and unity.

Executive Arm (YOUTH MINISTERS) represented by: Obi nka Obi “no one should bite the other” symbol of peace and harmony.

Judicial Arm (YOUTH JUSTICES) represented by: Scales of Justices symbolise fairness in court cases and rule of law.

Built Foundation carrying all the Adinkra symbols symbolise YGI core objectives of impacting through simulations, training and mentorship.

Bubble Colours:
Red: represents sacrifice, danger, and courage.
Gold Yellow: represent optimism, energy, joy, happiness and friendship.
Forest Green: represent new beginnings, growth, renewal and abundance.
